Smart digital quality assurance in dual VET

How do companies use the report booklet? How exactly do companies plan the training? Which quality assurance (feedback) instruments are used in practice? These and other questions were the focus of the exchange workshop “Smart digital quality assurance in dual training”, which DEQA-VET organized together with the colleagues from Leando on 27.03.2025.

The DEQA-VET exchange workshop was held in response to research findings on the planning and design of in-company vocational education and training, feedback from the European EQAVET network on the qualification of in-company training personnel, and potential transfer options on Leando, the BIBB portal for training and examination staff.

The focus of the event was the exchange between science, politics and practice. Representatives of training companies, the social partners, chambers and other competent bodies discussed -among other things- the conditions for success and innovative development potential for a future-oriented digital quality assurance of training practice. The basis for the discourse was, -among other things- “Recommendation 2” of the research project mentioned above. This provides for a digital linking and integration of relevant quality assurance instruments into a comprehensively designed training-accompanying control instrument. In the context of the current national peer review, feedback from European peers is also relevant here. The peers recommending a broader use of the report booklet in the sense of quality assurance. Against this background, the application of the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, a central aspect of the EQAVET quality assurance framework, in the context of innovative forms of the report booklet, was discussed in the workshops.

DEQA-VET will evaluate the results of the workshop and provide information at a later date.
