DEQA-VET: The structure of DEQA-VET

The structure of DEQA-VET

The German Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (DEQA-VET), which is based at BIBB, has a second, editorial location in Frankfurt am Main at the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF). A content partnership was agreed in 2009 between DEQA-VET and the German Education Server based at the DIPF. This service, run jointly by the Federal and Länder governments, provides a central Internet-based index of the education system in Germany. One of the benefits arising from this cooperation is that it enables access to the information collections and bibliographical references stored on the German Education Server, which gives DEQA-VET another means of documenting quality assurance, for example within the part-time vocational schools, i.e. the second learning venue (alongside the workplace) of dual-system vocational training.

In addition, there is a “National Advisory Group” consisting of representatives from Federal and Länder authorities and the social partners. The “National Advisory Group” (Nationale Begleitgruppe) is responsible for supporting DEQA-VET in the performance of its tasks.
