National Initiatives

The Copenhagen Declaration of 2002 and the subsequent Copenhagen Process where a vehicle whereby the Ministers of Education of the member states agreed upon closer cooperation in vocational education and training. The development of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) and the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training were all launched as a direct consequence of this initiative.

Alongside such European developments, congruent initiatives are also taking place at a national level with the aim of facilitating transfer to the systems of the member states.
