As part of the EQAVET process (formerly ENQA-VET), the member states develop specific instruments intended to promote and facilitate the implementation and improvement of quality assurance in vocational education and training (VET). The fundamental instruments include the quality cycle and the quality criteria/descriptors and indicators listed in the Recommendation of 2009.
Since 2011 an online tool has been available, in English, for the system level and is now freely accessible to all. A further tool is currently being planned for the provider level. This will be aimed at part-time vocational schools and particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises. As soon as this instrument is available, it will also be presented in this section.
